The average veteran of iraq is 3.5 times LESS likely to murder someone than their civilian counterparts.<BR/><BR/>Furthermore, as noted here, the NY Times used vehicle accidents, people who were already menatally disturbed before the war, people who killed while dealing drugs, and in one case, someone who was aquitted of killing someone due to self defense. <BR/><BR/>The 89% increase is due to the fact that it was not widely reported that a killer was in the service before the war started.
