SHREDDER SCANDAL FORCES VA TO ALLOW RECONSIDERATION OF CLAIMS

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

All I can say to this is more BS from the VA, how can they decide the destruction of records only started one year ago, they had lawyers they went to jail for this same crime in 1987, this is not something new. The fact that we now learn they have sat on this information for more than two months hoping to sweep it under the rug before it became public knowledge, thanks to Larry Scott at VA Watchdog.org this was not allowed to happen, he went public with it, and forced the VA to come clean not only to Congress but to the nation and the veterans the VA is supposed to be helping, I am glad to see that people like Jim Strickland have learned that the VA is NOT doing everything it can for the nations veterans, and that it took something like this to open his eyes, but many of us caught on the hamster wheel have known about "lost documents" ignored evidence, blantant lies and even manufactured "documents" created by enterprising VA employees to deny claims.

I have the proof to back this up, I have copies of one of their "made up" documents they used to attempt to close my claims dated December 7, 2005. I immediately filed a NOD and wrote letters complaining of this "error" the day after they made my award in May 2006, we are still fighting it out now, the difference is now I have a lawyer.

Veterans need lawyers now when they go to appeals, the VARO's do not play fair, and they are not always acting in the best interest of the veterans. WHY that is their job?
